Who runs this website

This website (compatnav.com) is run by Mouad Jaoucha, Morocco. Contact: hello@compatnav.com.

We decide how the personal data described here is used, so we are responsible for it (the “data controller”).

Visiting the website

The website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (United States). To deliver the pages and protect the site from attacks, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type. We don’t set cookies, don’t use analytics, and don’t look at individual visits: Cloudflare only shows us overall totals, such as the number of requests.

Links to wordpress.org and other websites take you to sites with their own privacy policies.

The CompatNav Pro waitlist

The waitlist is not open yet, so nothing is collected through it at the moment. This is what happens once it is open.

What we collect. Your email address, and your answers to the form: which describes you best, how many WordPress sites you manage, and, if you answer them, what you would pay per year and whether you would use AI fix suggestions. Brevo also records when you confirmed your email address.

Why. To email you when CompatNav Pro launches, and at most once before that with a short survey. Your answers, counted together with everyone else’s, help us decide whether to build Pro and what it should cost. Nothing else: no newsletter, no advertising, and we never sell or share your data.

On what basis. Your consent: you tick the box on the form and confirm your email address by clicking the link we send you (double opt-in). You can withdraw your consent at any time.

Who handles it for us. Brevo, a French company, stores the list and sends the emails; it stores data in the European Union. The form is passed to Brevo by a small program running on Cloudflare, which doesn’t keep it. Open and click tracking are switched off, so we don’t know whether you open our emails or click their links.

How long we keep it.

• If you don’t confirm your email address, your signup is deleted after 30 days.
• The list is kept until 12 months after CompatNav Pro launches, then deleted.
• If we decide not to build Pro, the list is deleted then.
• If you unsubscribe, you get no more emails. To have your data deleted sooner, email us.

Your rights. Under Morocco’s Law 09-08 on the protection of personal data (and the GDPR if you live in the European Union), you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to its use, and withdraw your consent. Use the unsubscribe link in any of our emails, or email hello@compatnav.com. We answer within one month.

Complaints. You can complain to Morocco’s data-protection authority, the CNDP (cndp.ma), or, if you live in the European Union, to the data-protection authority of your country.

Changes

When this notice changes, the date at the top changes too. If a change affects the waitlist, we tell the people on it by email before it applies.
