CompatNav Pro goes on sale on 31 October 2026. It is an add-on to the free CompatNav plugin, made for freelancers and agencies who look after WordPress sites.
Why now
PHP 8.2 gets its last security fixes on 31 December 2026 (php.net), and hosts move sites to newer versions. Many sites will change PHP in the coming months. The free plugin answers whether a site is ready on the day you check; Pro keeps checking every site you look after and tells you when the answer changes.
What Pro adds
- Alerts only for new problems. Scheduled scans, weekly or daily, and a scan 15 minutes after plugins or themes change (at most one every 6 hours). You get an email, or a post in Slack, Microsoft Teams or Discord, only when something new will break; deprecation notices never trigger one.
- Problems a code scan can’t see. An opt-in runtime logger, for 1 to 30 days, records what PHP reports on real requests.
- Fix first. The five plugins or themes to deal with first, a trend of the last 12 scans, and what changed in one sentence.
- “Does updating fix it?” Before you install an update from wordpress.org, Pro checks it without installing it and tells you what it removes, keeps or adds.
- Fix suggestions for custom code, as patch files for your developer. Nothing is ever applied automatically.
- White-label client reports with your name, logo and colours, a share link for your client, and reports by email, weekly or monthly.
- WP-CLI with exit codes, your own agency rules, and multisite.

Your code stays on your server
As with the free plugin, the scans run on your own server: no code, file names or reports are sent anywhere. Pro contacts our license service for license and update checks and, only if you turn them on, wordpress.org and your own chat webhooks. No analytics, no tracking. The full list: what leaves your site.
Prices
Every plan has every feature; plans differ only by the number of sites: Solo $29 a year for 1 site, Studio $59 for 5, Agency $149 for 25, Host $999 for unlimited sites under fair use, and Enterprise on request. VAT or sales tax is added at checkout where it applies. All the details are on the pricing page.
- 30-day refund, no questions asked, for the first purchase and every renewal.
- If your license ends, nothing breaks: Pro keeps working; only updates and support stop.
- The free plugin stays free and fully functional on wordpress.org. Nothing it does moved to Pro.
